Auditions for The Importance of Being Earnest are on Monday. I'm feeling kind of cynical about going. I mean, there are only four female roles.
I'm memorizing Death, be not proud (John Donne, 1633) for Written Comm III.
What is it with me and having a cold?
Maybe I'll blow off having a cold!
ReplyDeleteHey, I love that poem! It's Christian without being sentimental or extremely obvious and trite. It's also nice that the memorization of poetry is not going out the window with Shakespeare and all those other things colleges are tossing out for "diversity studies."
ReplyDeleteI'm rather partial to Donne's "Meditation 17" but that requires work to understand.
Did you go? Did you win? Earnest is SO GOOD you should try to be in it anyway. And that poem is ALSO SO GOOD.
